Our knowledgable field guides will lead you on a 3km walk in the indigenous bushveld woodland and tell you more about the small interesting mammals, plants, insects and reptiles that occur here naturally. Walk with us and learn more about our star attraction the Greater Bushbaby. Bushbaby Feeding (Most Nights) Bushbabies are shy, nocturnal animals that live in small family groups. It is these interesting animals that have given "Isinkwe" its name. Our little family of five visits the Africa Bush Junction on a regular basis to enjoy a dinner-time snack on the feeding platform. Come and see these "early monkeys" as they play amongst the trees in the lodge. LOCAL ACTIVITIES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCEDumazulu Cultural Village Over 50 Zulu residents form part of a "living museum" and carry out age old manufacturing traditions which include spear, shield and clay pot making, basket weaving, beadwork and Sangoma bone throwing. The sound of stamping feet and beating drums fill the air as you are entertained by Zulu dancers and warriors. Shows mostly run daily at 8:15 am, 11:00 am and 3:15 pm. Cost is R95-00 per person and show runs for 1 1/2 hours. The above mentioned activities are included in our PACKAGE DEAL Crocodile & Snake Park View 40 snake species from all over the world. Demonstrations from the snake pit are conducted by a resident snake expert. Emdoneni Cheetah Project Enjoy a unprotected encounter with some of Africas indigenous wild cats, as you view them while they are feeding. Two cheetahs and cats form part of the project. During feeding time you are briefed on the background information of conservation of the Cheetah. Educational tour daily at 10:00 am. Cost: R40-00. Afternoon feedings at 4:30 pm daily. Cost: R80-00. Experience the soul of Africa and her people through their hand crafts. Visit the home of Zulu basket weaving as well as the Museum & Craft Village, with incredible examples of original African crafts and artefacts. There is also a restuarant on site open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Zamimphilo Craft Market This roadside market is a haven for African arts & crafts collectors and will prove to be a delightful shopping experience.
