DescriptionWellvale Private River Resort, a top class eco-tourism hideaway, is bordered by the Mvoti River and boasts spectacular views of the Nsikeni Mountain. Situated in the popular Dolphin Coast region, Wellvale is only a short drive from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport and perfectly located for day trips to some of South Africa’s finest beaches. Accommodation is provided in luxury African rondavels along the river with outdoor showers and king-sized beds, or in our family room which can sleep four people comfortably. We also have three shaded campsites and self-catering facilities for the more adventurous. Meals are served on our terrace where you can enjoy the bird song of the many different species resident at Wellvale while taking in the view of the mountains. After dinner you can relax in our fully-stocked, cosy bar, or pull up a chair beside the outdoor pit fire and enjoy a night-cap. As supporters of eco-friendly tourism we run our resort with the environment and local community in mind. Our newly-built family Lodge, luxury four-sleeper has a balcony that commands the best views of the Mvoti River and Ensikeni Mountain. With an outdoor shower, comferteble single beds and a bathroom fully equipped with a bath, shower and washbasin, this is an ideal choice for a family . The lodge is fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. We offer five Luxury Lodge's, rondavels with four-poster, king-sized beds. These lodges have both an outdoor shower and an indoor bathroom with a bath. They are fully equipped with fans for the hot summer nights, and blankets for the winter. Each lodge has complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, and outdoor furniture to sit and admire the view. Our spacious family room has a king-sized bed and two single beds making it a perfect choice for those with children. It is separate from the other accommodation providing you with privacy and the space to relax. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower and the room is fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Our secluded campsite offers 2 shaded campsite and space for campers, or those with small caravans. With stunning views, it is located close to both the swimming pool and the braai area, with showering facilities and electricity points in close proximity. Campers have access to a communal kitchen and are welcome to book meals in our restaurant. Things to Do, With 150 different species of birds and more than 30 types of butterflies, Wellvale River Resort is a nature-lover’s paradise. You can take one of the many walks along the river bank and through the local area, bird watch from the comfort of the garden, relax beside the swimming pool or go mountain biking across the hilly terrain.
